Answer:

(1) 2 km² (ii) 0.2 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

1 cm² : (0.5)² km² = 8 cm² : 8(0.25) km²

(1) actual area is 2 km²

1 cm² : (500)² m² = A cm² : 50000 m²

(ii) pond area on the map is 50 000 ÷ 250 000 = 0.2 cm²
