length of veranda=50m=5000cm
breadthh=30m=3000cm
area  ofveranda=l*b=5000*3000=15000.

area of tile=50*50=2500cm

no of tiles=15000/2500
=6000.

the area of school autitorium = 50×30
=1500m²
the whole figure obtained is a rectangle
the length of this rectange= 50+5+5=60
its breadth=30+5+5=40
its area = 60×40=2400 m²
area of varanda=area of whole figure-area of auditorium.
area of varanda=2400-1500
=900m²
area of tiles = 0.5 × 0.5
=0.25m²
∴number of tiles required= 2400/0.25
=240000/25
9600

∴ number of tiles required to tile the varanda = 9600

hope it helps and pls mark as best answer
