Answer:

The first bus stop at which both of them will stop is at 24^{th} block.

Given:

A school bus picking up children in a colony of flats stops at every sixth block of flats. another bus starting from the same place stops at every eighth blocks of flats.

To find:

The first bus stop at which both of them will stop

Solution:

Bus A picks at every 6^{th}  block

Bus B picks at every 8^{th} block

The blocks picked up by Bus A = 6, 12, 18, 24, 30,….

The blocks picked by bus B = 8, 16, 24, 32…

Hence they both will stop at 24^{th} block.
