No. of students : 6

Distances of their rsidences from the school : 800m, 700m, 600m, 900m, 2km, 2.5km

Find : The average distance of the residences of the six student from the school.

Formula to find =

\frac{Sum \:of\: distances }{No. \: of \: students}

\boxed{2km = 2000m, 2.5km=2500m}

\frac{800 + 700 + 600 + 900 + 200 + 2500}{6}  \\=\frac{5700}{6}  \\  = 950

\therefore \: the \: average \: distance \: of \: the \\  \: residences \: of \: 6 \: students \: is  \\ \: 950m

I hope it helps you
