let the no of smaller classes be x
let the no of bigger classes be y

according to the question:-
total no of classes = 25
x + y = 25 ................................( 1 )
and
total windows in the school = 58
no of windows in smaller classes +
no of windows in bigger classes = 58
2x + 3y = 58 ................................( 2 )

now multiply ( 1 ) by 2 , then it becomes
( x + y = 25 ) × 2
= 2x +2y = 50 .......................( 1 )

now ( 1 ) - (2)

2x + 2y = 50.................( 1 )
substract 2x + 3y = 58.................( 2 )

we will get : -y = -8
, y = 8
now put the value in ( 1 )
2x + 2× 8 = 50
2x = 50 - 16
2x = 34
x = 17

so , no of smaller classes is 17( a.n.s.w.e.r)

hope it helps ,
