A school playground is divided by a 2 m wide path which is parallel to the width of the
playground, and a 3 m wide path which is parallel to the length of the ground
If the length and width of the playground are 120 m and 80 m respectively, find the area of the
remaining playground.​

Given ,

length of the playground = 120 m

width of the playground = 80 m

width of path along length = 3 m

width of path along width of playground = 2 m

we have to find the area of the remaining playground .

Solution :

Area of the playground = 120 m * 80 m = 9600 m^{2}

Area of the path = ( 120 * 3 ) + ( 80 * 2 ) - ( 3 * 2 ) m^{2} = 514 m^{2}

Area of the remaining playground = 9600 - 514 = 9086 m^{2}
