Given : Three classes have 35,49 and 42 students respectively.

School wants to keep the same number of students in a room and that too of the same class

To Find :  number of rooms required in a day for examination.

Solution:

Three classes have 35,49 and 42 students respectively.

first need to find HCF to find maximum number of students in a  room

35 = 5 x 7

49 = 7 x 7

42 = 2 x 3 x 7

7 is the only common factor in all 3

Hence number of students in a room = 7

Total students = 35 + 49 + 42  = 126

number of rooms required in a day for examination. = 126/7

= 18

18 rooms required
