The film does not based on laws of physics if the inhabitants of the spaceship in outer space hear the sound of a nearby spaceship as it zooms past at high speeds.

  • Outer space is a mere vacuum without any medium .
  • Sound can not travel in vacuum . It needs a medium to propagate .
  • Thus , the inhabitants actually can't hear the sound .
