A science webinar has been arranged for small children to teach them the basic
concepts of atoms. An atom consists of charged particles called protons and electrons.
Each proton has a charge of +1 and each electron has a charge of –1. Number of
electrons is always equal to the number of protons in an atom.
1)What will be the charge in an atom, if it loses a proton?
2)If an atom gains two electrons and loses one proton, then what will be the net
charge?
