Explanation:

IN FIRST CASE :

v=36 km/h = 10 m/s

u= 0

t=10 s

a = (v-u)/t

= 10/10

= 1 m/s^2

IN SECOND CASE :

u=10 m/s

v=0

t=20 s

a= (v-u)/t

= -10/20

= - 0.5 m/s^2
