Given that, a scooter acquires a velocity of 36 km/hr in 10 seconds just after the start.

We have to find the acceleration of the scooter.

From above data we have; initial velocity of the scooter is 0 km/hr (as it starts from rest), final velocity of the scooter is 36 km/hr and time taken is 10 sec.

First equation of motion: v = u + at

Second equation of motion: s = ut + 1/2 at²

Third equation of motion: v² - u² = 2as

Firstly convert km/hr into m/s. To do this, multiply the given value by 5/18.

⇒ u = 0*5/18 = 0 m/s & v = 36*5/18 = 10 m/s

Now,

Using the First Equation Of Motion i.e v = u + at

Substitute the known values in the above formula,

→ 10 = 0 + a(10)

→ 10 = 10a

Divide by 10 on both sides,

→ 10/10 = 10a/10

→ 1 = a

Therefore, the acceleration of the scooter is 1 m/s².
