a scooter is moving a long a straight path covering one - third of the distance with a velocity V1. the remaining distance is covered with a velocity V2 for half of the time and with a velocity V3 for the next half of the time. The average velocity of the scooter for the whole journey is__________________

For equal distances average velocity = (2×V1×V2)÷(V1+V2)

For equal time interval average velocity = (v2 + v3)÷2

=> V2 = (v2 + v3)÷2

Substitute this value in 1st equation. It gives the average velocity for the journey
