Answer:

90km/h= 25m/sec

So, initial velocity (u)= 25m/sec

Time (t)=5 sec

Final velocity (v)= 0 [ Since, the scooter is made to stop by applying brakes]

Total Mass of scooter (m)= 200 kg

We know, Force = Mass x Acceleration [ 2nd Law]

= 200 ( 0-25/5) [ acc.= v-u / t ]

= 200 x (-5)

= -1000

Answer :- -1000 N.

Negative sign implies force applied in opposite direction to motion.
