A scooter is moving with an initial velocity of 90 km/hr and it takes 10s to stop it, after the brakes are applied. Calculate the force exerted by the brakes on the scooter if its mass along
with the rider is 200 kg.What would be the force if the mass is halved?

Answer:

1.500N,2.250N

Explanation:

90km/hr=25m/s

v=0,u=25m/s,t=10s,a=?

v=u-at,a=2.5m/s^2

F=ma=(200×2.5)=500N

if mass is halved the applied force is also becomes halved.

So,the force=500/2N=250N
