The given question is A scooter mechanic bought an old scooter for₹3000 and spent ₹2000 on its reparing. Find his profit%, if he sold it for₹ 8000

The cost price of the scooter is ₹ 3000.

The repairing charge is ₹ 2000.

The selling price of the scooter is ₹8000.

we have to find the profit obtained by the scooter mechanic .

The profit can be obtained by calculating the difference between the selling price and the cost price.

selling price - cost price.

8000 - 3000 = 5000

In between the mechanic had spent some money in repairing the scooter, so that money should be reduced from the profit.

5000 - 2000 = 3000

The profit earned by the scooter mechanic is ₹3000.

The percentage can be calculated by profit divided by the costprice then it should be multiplied by 100

(3000/5000)*100

(3÷5)* 100

300÷5=60%

Therefore, the percentage of profit obtained is 60%
