Answer:

Rs.8000 approx

Step-by-step explanation:

let the cost prize be 'x'

and

the prize from which dealer buys scooter= x+ 20%of x

=x +(20/100 × 'x')

=x + 1/5 x

According to question

The dealer sell it with 25% profit

i.e Rs 2000

so,

25% of price the dealer buys the scooter = 2000

25/100 × x+1/5 x = 2000

x + 1/5 x =8000

(5x + x)/5 = 8000

6x/5=8000

x=(8000×5)/6

x= Rs 6666.6

Dealer buyed the scooter at 20%more

=[(20/100)×6666.6 ] + 6666.6

= 8000
