Solution :-

Given that

The Cost Price of a scooter

= Rs. 7,42,000

The percentage of depreciation in the value of the scooter per annum = 8%

The Depreciation per annum

= 8% of the Cost Price

= 8% of 7,42,000

= 8% × 7,42,000

= (8/100)×7,42,000

= (8×7,42,000)/100

= 8×7,420

= Rs. 59,360

The value of the depreciation

= Rs. 59,360

The value of the scooter after one year

= Initial value - depreciation value

= 742000-59360

= Rs. 6,82,640
