A scooterist goes to a place at a speed of 20 km/hr and returns from there at a speed of 30km/hr. Find the average speed in km/hr for the entire journey

{ \textbf{ \blue{\underline{  \red{\underline{ \red{Solution    : -  } }}}}}}

{ According to question }

Speed of scooterist is 20 km/hr &

30 km/hr

Hence we know that

Case 1 :-

Distance = 20 km & Time = 1 hour

Case 2 :-

Distance = 30 km & Time = 1 hour

Now to find average speed

{ \bf{ \small {\dashrightarrow{Average  \: speed =  \frac{ Total \: distance  }{Total \: time} }}}}

{ \bf{ \small {\dashrightarrow{Average  \: speed =  \frac{ 20 + 30}{1 + 1} }}}}

{ \bf{ \small {\dashrightarrow{Average  \: speed =  \frac{ 50}{2} }}}}

{ \bf{ \small {\dashrightarrow{Average  \: speed =  25 \: km/hr  }}}}

Hence the average speed for the entire journey is 25 km/hr.
