Formula- 2V1V2/V1+V2
Here V1= 20km/hr
V2=30km/hr
So , 2×20×30/20+30
=1200/50
=24km/hr

Given :

Initial speed of scooterist , u = 20 km/hr .

Final speed of scooterist , v = 30 km/hr .

To Find :

The average speed in km/hr for the entire journey .

Solution :

We know , average of two quantity x and y is given by :

Avg =\dfrac{x+y}{2}

So , average velocity is given by :

v_{avg}=\dfrac{u+v}{2}\\\\v_{avg}=\dfrac{20+30}{2}\\\\v_{avg}=25\ km/hr

Therefore , the average speed in km/hr for the entire journey is 25 km/hr .
