using formula, s=ut +0.5at^2
1500=(0*t)+0.5*5*t^2
1500/0.5/5=t^2
t=600 sec= 10 mins
final velocity=initail velocty + a*t=0+(5*600) =3000 m/s
now in case of stopping:-
time= change in velocity/acceleration =(0-3000)/-10
=300 sec= 5 mins
thus total time= 10+5 min=15 min
hope this helps!
