@Answer is 33 %

@see how 33 comes

____________↙️ ↙️ ↙️ ↙️

A scored = 30%

B scored 40%

We can see that from Above statements 5 marks are given as 1%.

Therefore A is failed by 15 marks and 1 % = 5 marks = so he failed by 3%.

Now add = Marks Obtained by A and failed to pass

➡️ 30% + 3% = 33%

Therefore, tje approx passing percentage is 33%.

A failed by 15 marks.
A's marks = 30% of the total
B= 40% of the total
B passed by 20 marks{since 35-15= 20 (extra - faled by)}.
Now,
B-A=40%-30%=20 marks.
or, 10%=20.
or, 100%= 200.
A's marks= 30/100 *200
= 60 marks.
pass marks= 60+15( since a failed by 15 marks).
= 75 marks(ANS).
