A scuba diver was collecting water samples from a lake. He collected samples at 5m intervals starting at 5m below the surface. He collected the final sample at a depth of 35m . How many samples did he collect

Solution by unitary method ---

At 5m depth 1 sample of water is collected.
So at 1m depth 1/5 sample of water is collected.
Therefore at 35m depth 1/5×35 (=7) sample of water will be collected ...
So at 35m depth 7 samples of water would be collected by the scuba diver....
