Hey friend,

Here's your answer ⬇⬇⬇,

A large section of the Indian people are still without food. These include landless labours, children under the age of 5, workers of traditional industries, the others include people from Scheduled castes, OBCs and Scheduled tribes.

The percentage of the food insecure people is more in some regions of the country whereas less in the others.

The areas that are more prone to food insecurity include : economically backward states, tribal and rural areas, areas that are more prone to natural calamities like drought, etc.

The main reason for the food security is that many poor families do not have enough money to buy food. The availability of food is there, even the accessibility is provided, but people can not afford it.

Hope this helps!!!!

Yes, many people of India still do not have adequate and nutritious food to eat. The godowns are overflowing, but inefficiency of government and schemes in using these grains appropriately has made hunger prevalent in some regions. In some regions, food prices are so high that the poor cannot afford it. The only option they have is fair price shops, which also have many problems. There are many regions where there is food scarcity and low food production due to lack of availability of water and proper irrigation systems and also due to natural calamities. Such regions are Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, southern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Such people can also be found in coasts of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal just after calamity. The people adversely affected by this problem are the backward and BPL people.
