Answer:

STEP–1

The circle of the radius =14

The subtends an angle =72°

Therefore the perimeter of the sector =72–14=58°

STEP –2

The perimeter of the sector=58°

Therefore area of the sector =58–14=44

ANSWER—1)The perimeter of the sector is 58

ANSWER—2)The area of sector is 44

The perimeter of the sector is 45.6 cm

The area of the sector is 123.20  sq. Cm

Given:

radius of the circle = 14 Cm

angle it subtends at center =72°

To find:

perimeter of the sector

area of the sector

Solution:

please refer to the attached diagram.

formula for calculating the perimeter of the sector = 2πr*72/360+2r

=2*22/7 * 14 *72/360 + 2*14

= 45.6 cm

formula for calculating  the area of the sector = πr²× \frac{72}{360} \\

=22/7 *14*14*72/360

=123.20  sq. Cm

Therefore,The perimeter of the sector is 45.6 cm

The area of the sector is 123.20  sq. Cm
