Concept-

Try to eliminate the options from the given situations.

Given-

Given the numbers -

(1) 428, 361

(2) 652,924

(3) 726,336

(4) 812,766

(5) 507, 244

(6) 924,650

(7) 1,425,58

(8) 529,816

Find-

Find the correct option from the given possibilities in the question.

Solution-

From these numbers,

(a) I am a six digit number, so option (7) is eliminated.

(b) If you double me , I am more than a million , so option (1) is eliminated (∵ 856 , 722 double)

(c) My hundred thousands digit is even , so option (3), (5), (6), (8) are eliminated.

(d) I am one more than a multiple of 5, so we can check option (2) and (4).

     check option (2)-

      652927 / 5 = Remainder 2

     check option (4)-

     812766 / 5 = Remainder 1

     So, option (4) is correct.

      Hence, the number is 812,766.
