Explanation:

As I talk with members of my community there is one thing that everyone agrees upon. Health is our greatest asset.

We could lose our jobs, our homes or we could even lose all of our money but if we lose our health we truly have lost it all. Without our health we have little to no chance of achieving our goals and dreams.

It reminds me of the proverb “When you have your health you have a 1,000 dreams. When you don’t, you have one.”

The problem is not that people don’t value their health the problem is we don’t have a proper understanding of what it means to be healthy.

Most people tell me that if they “feel good” they are healthy. Yet, every day in our society many people with no symptoms (meaning they feel good) die of heart disease or are diagnosed with cancer. Health is far more than just how you feel. In fact, there is not a single definition in a dictionary or medical text that defines health off of how you feel.

However we have been taught if I feel good I must be healthy and if I don’t feel good then I will take a pill, potion, lotion or have some procedure or surgery to make me feel better. This has lead us to overwhelming illness and loss of health in this country. To the point where estimates are 80% of Americans will die early of a chronic disease.

In my office I work hard to teach our practice members that God designed us to be healthy! In fact, it is our natural state as human beings to be well and vibrant and full of energy. Health comes from within and not from things we may put into or do to our bodies.

So if we are not expressing our natural healthy state. We need to ask, “What am I missing that I need in order to get back to my natural state?”

The foundation of our practice is to make sure you are expressing life from your brain to all parts of your body through your nervous system. The spine and nervous system are your life line. Your brain must communicate with your body and your body must communicate with your brain.

Combine that with a healthy lifestyle and you will have no choice but to return to the natural healthy state that you were intended to be in.

But this takes action! We cannot go about our day assuming we are healthy and then expect our health to just be there when we get older. We must invest in our health daily!

As a Chiropractor who has dedicated his life to studying human health and wellness. I cannot think of a more important step than making sure you and your family’s nervous system is free of stress and interference.
