Answer:

its a solving questions and long too

Step-by-step explanation:

A sells his goods 20% cheaper than B and 20% dearer than C. How much percentage C's goods cheaper/dearer than B?

Statement of the given problem,

A sells his goods 20% cheaper than B and 20% dearer than C. How much percentage C's goods cheaper/dearer than B?

Let SA, SB & SC denote selling prices of goods of A, B & C respectively.

Hence from above data we get following relations,

SA = (1 - 20/100)*SB

or SA = 0.80*SB …. (1a)

SA = (1 + 20/100)*SC

or SA = 1.20*SC …. (1b)

From (1b) & (1a) we get,

1.20*SC = 0.80*SB

or SC = (8/12)*SB = (2/3)*SB

or SC = (1 - 1 /3)*SB

or SC = (1 - 100/3/100)*SB

or SC = (1 - 33.33/100)*SB …. (1c)

Therefore from (1c) we conclude that

goods of C are 33.33% cheaper than those of B. [Ans]
