Let's assume that the cost of the bycycle was C

Amount paid by B to A was
=C+ (\frac{20}{100} )C= [ \frac{120}{100}]C=1.2C

Amount paid by C to B was
=1.2C+[ \frac{5}{100}]1.2C=1.2C[ \frac{105}{100}]=1.2*1.05C= 1.26C

And it is given in the question that this amount was equal to Rs 3780
So,
1.26C=3780
C=\frac{3780 }{1.26}
C=3000

So, A paid Rs 3000 for it
