Question:-

a sells toy to b at15% profit b later sells back to A at 20% profit.and make a profit of rs 552.how much did a initally pay for the toy

Given:-

Let the CP for A, B = ₹xxxx

A profit = 15%

SP for A = (1+15÷100)×CP

Solutions:-

 = 115 \div 100 \times x

 = 23x \div 20

SP for A = CP for B

Therefore:-

CP for B = =₹23x÷20

Propit = 20%

SP for B = (1+20÷100)×CP

=120÷100×₹X

₹6x÷5

Profit for B = SP-CP

₹6x÷5-₹23x÷20

₹x÷20

ACC. for the question:-

=>₹x÷20=₹69

₹x=₹1380

Money paid by A to B = ₹6x÷5

=₹6×1380÷5

=₹1656

AnsWeR:-

\sf\fbox{₹1656}
