A) selvi placed her purse on the passenger's seat of her car when she drove to work .By the time she reached her office the purse had fallen in front of the passenger seat ,why did this happen?

This happened because of the inertia of rest.

Due to the inertia of motion the purse had fallen in front of the seat.
the car suddenly come in rest when breaks were applied but the purse still continue to be in motion due to inertia of motion and falls down.
