QUESTION:

a semicircle has 70 cm diameter find its area.

ANSWER:

We used the formula here;

1.

diameter = 2 \times radius

2.

area \: of \: semicircle  circle = (\pi \times  {(radius)}^{2})/2

now come to main question;

diameter = 70 cm

then radius will be =

 \frac{70cm}{2}  \\ radius = 35cm

\huge\red{radius = 35cm}

area of semi-circle =

 (\frac{22}{7}  \times 35 \times 35 {cm}^{2} ) /2\\ 3850 {cm}^{2}/2 = 1925 cm^2

\huge\red{area = 1925 {cm}^{2} }
