So, f(1) = –1.5 (1)

And given that, f(n + 1) = –2f(n)
now by substituting the value of n = 1 in this equation, we get
f( 1 + 1 ) = –2 x f( 1 )
f( 2 ) = –2 x f( 1 )
now by substituting the value of f( 1 ) from equation (1),
f( 2 ) = –2 x ( –1.5 )
f( 2 ) = 3
