A series circuit consists of 5 identical lamps in series to a battery. The ratio of power consumed before and after closing key K is. please explain me this answer with explanation ​

before closing the key the power consumed is zero.

after closing the key the power consumed =V^2/5R

where V is the potential difference and R is the resistance.

Before Closing the Key Current is ZERO and Resistance is 5R, because its OPEN circuit.

Power consumed is ZERO when its open circuit

since Battery Battery Voltage is V , Power Consumed after Closing the Circuit in DC circuit is V^2/ 5R

ratio is = 0/ Vsqaure/5R = 0
