Current flowing through the resistor is 1.33 A.

Given :

Maximum voltage source = 100 V.

Voltage across inductor = 80 V.

Resistance of resistor = 15 ohm.

It is also given that the LC circuit is in series .

Since, sum of voltage across resistance and inductor is equal to the source voltage.

Therefore, voltage across resistance is , V_r=100-80=20 \ V.

Now, according to ohm's law , I=\dfrac{V}{R}     ...... equation 1.

Putting value of V and R in above equation .

I=\dfrac{20}{15}=1.33 \ A.

Since, the circuit is in series therefore current through each element is same i.e 1.33 A.
