Consider x as Labor wage engaged for number of days is 3239

Let w be daily wage

xw=3239

w=3239/x

Consider y as Labor wage that was paid 2923

yw=2923

By substituting in the above equal

Y(3239/x)=2923

(Y*3239)/x=2923

y/x =2923/3239

That is y/x = 37/41

w = 3239/41 =79

w = 79

Therefore, the maximum daily wage was 79
