In taking readings, the terms accuracy and Relative Static Error are important.

  • Accuracy is defined as the closeness of a reading with the actual reading. The more a reading is accurate, the more closer it is with the true reading.
  • Relative Static Error of a reading is variation of it with respect to the actual reading.

Therefore when a set of reading has a wide range, it has less Accuracy and more Relative Static Error.
