the answer is 5/2=x/12.5

x=125*5/20=31.25m

Answer:

Let the triangke formed by stick and and it's be ∆ABC

The triangle formed by tree be ∆PQR

Now the shadows are casted at the same time so the angle between the tops of stick and tree will be same

Now in ∆ABC and ∆PQR

angle BAC=angle QPR

And angle ABC=Angle PQR=90°

Therefore ∆ABC~∆PQR

=AB/PQ=BC/QR

=5/PQ=2/12.5

PQ=31.25 hence height of tree
