Shadow gives us the shape about the object and we can know the nature of that image by it's shadow. And, We sometimes depends upon shadow; As our brain guesses the exact thing that happens behind the Image of the shadow. As shadow is complete with the all features of objects like it's shape, size and everything; This helps to know whether the shape of the object.

Hence, Shadow tells us about the shape of the object.

But, Sometimes we get mislead from the shadow. Sometimes, some objects are designed in such a way that, it's shadow and real image is different. Due to which, it is not easy to guess about the shadow of the object. And, Hence we get Mislead due to the shadow of the object.

Therefore, We can conclude that, "Yes, Shadow tells us about the shape of the image, but sometimes we get mislead".
