lateral \: surface \: area = 2 \times \pi \times r \times h
rolled along width
therefore, h=66
length of the sheet=circumference of base of cylinder
2πr=140
LSA=140×66
=9240

Its lateral surface area is 9238.86 sq.cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of paper = 140 cm

width of paper = 66 cm

A paper is rolled along width to form cylinder

So, height of cylinder = 66 cm

Circumference of base of cylinder = Length of paper = 140 cm

Circumference of base =2 \pi r

So, 2 \pi r = 140

r = 140  \times\frac{7}{2 \times 22} =22.27

So, Curved surface area of cylinder =2\pi r h = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times (22.27)(66)=9238.86 cm^2

Hence  its lateral surface area is 9238.86 sq.cm.
