BC=28cm

If we do half of BC and draw a semi circle

we get

radius= 28/2×2 =7cm

Area of rectangle=Length ×breadth

= 40cm×28cm

=1120cm²

Area of semi circle= 1×πr²/2

=22×7×7/2×7

=77cm²

area of the remaining paper=Area of rectangle-Area

of semi circle

=1120cm²-77cm²

=1043cm²
