A sheet of paper is24 cm long and 12 broad. How many squares of side 6 cm cam be cut from it?

area of paper
= length * breadth
= 24*12
= 288 cm^2
area of squares
= ( side )^2
=6^2
=36 cm^2
Number of squares
= 288/36
= 8

area of the sheet of paper = l×b
24 cm×12 cm = 288cmsq
area of square= side square
6 sq = 36 cm sq
no of squares that can bu cut from it = 288cm sq/ 36 cmsq
= 8
thus ,8 squares can be cut from it
