Are of the sheet before the strip was cut.
lenght=30 breadth=20
so area =l*b
=30*20=600cm^2

After cutting 4 cm strip the
length and the breadth will decrease by 8 units (4 units from each side)
So,new length will length=22 and breadth=12
So area =22*12 =264cm^2

Now area of the strip which is cut out
will be =Area before cutting the paper -Area after cutting the paper
=600-264
=336cm^2

Plzz mark it brainliest if you like!!!!

1Gautam1: Thank you
1Gautam1: After cuttin 4cm strip how the length and breadth decrease by 8units ,
1Gautam1: I didn't understood .
Anonymous: Take a paper if you cut 4 cm from top and 4 cm from bottom the breadth will decrease by 4+4 =8 units
Anonymous: Take a paper if you cut 4 cm from left and 4 cm from right the length will decrease by 4+4 =8 units
Anonymous: so both length and breadth decrease by 8 units
1Gautam1: Oh yes, i understood
1Gautam1: thanks

length of sheet =30
breadth of sheet =20
area of rectangle =l*b
30*20
600

length =30-(4+4)=22
breadth =20-(4+4)=12
area of remaining sheet =22*12=264

so area of remaining sheet =600-264=336
