The area of an object is the amount of surface that the object occupies.

Area formula  =
= length width
= l × w

Area of the sheet =  l × w = 20×30

=600 cm²

Area of remaining sheet

= (20-2 (4))×(30-2(4))

=12×22

=264 cm²
