length of paper sheet = 30 cm

breadth of paper sheet = 20 cm

area of paper sheet = area of rectangle

= length × breadth = 30 × 20

= 600 cm^2

side of the strip cut off from each corner

= 4 cm

area of each strip = area of square

= side × side = 4 × 4 = 16 cm^2

area of all ( 4strips) = 4 × 16 = 64 cm^2

area of the remaining sheet

= total area of sheet - area of 4 strips (cut off)

= 600 - 64 = 536 cm^2

Answer:
-------------

area of remaining sheet = 536 cm^2

area of each strip cut out = 16 cm^2
