let ABCD denotes the rectangular sheet.

LENGTH OF THE SHEET = 30

BREADTH OF THE SHEET=20

:. AREA OF THE SHEET= LENGTH× BREADTH

= 30×20

=600CM^2

4 CM WIDE STRIP IS CUT FROM THE RECTANGULAR ALL AROUND ,THEN WE OBTAIN A RECTANGULAR SHEET ,PQRS HAVING

length= (30-(4+4))cm = 22cm

breadth=(20-(4+4))cm=12cm

:. area of the remaining sheet PQRS = (22×12)cm^2=264cm^2

area if strip cutout = area of sheet ABCD - area of sheet PQRS .

(600-264)cm^2

=336cm^2

Answer:

336cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

et ABCD denotes the rectangular sheet.

LENGTH OF THE SHEET = 30

BREADTH OF THE SHEET=20

:. AREA OF THE SHEET= LENGTH× BREADTH

= 30×20

=600CM^2

4 CM WIDE STRIP IS CUT FROM THE RECTANGULAR ALL AROUND ,THEN WE OBTAIN A RECTANGULAR SHEET ,PQRS HAVING

length= (30-(4+4))cm = 22cm

breadth=(20-(4+4))cm=12cm

:. area of the remaining sheet PQRS = (22×12)cm^2=264cm^2

area if strip cutout = area of sheet ABCD - area of sheet PQRS .

(600-264)cm^2

=336cm^2
