Given :-

Dimensions of the Sheet :

  • Length = 30cm
  • Breadth = 20cm
  • Wide of Cutted Strip = 5cm

To Find :-

  • The area of the remaining sheet and the strip cut out.

Solution :-

Area of the Sheet

➞ Area of the Sheet = Length × Breadth

➞ Area of the Sheet = 30 × 20

➞ Area of the Sheet = 600cm²

________________

Area of the Remaining Sheet

➞ Length of Remained part = 30 - 5 + 5

➞ Length of Remained part = 30 - 10

➞ Length of Remained part = 20cm

➞ Breadth of Remained part = 20 - 5 + 5

➞ Breadth of Remained part = 20 - 10

➞ Breadth of Remained part = 10cm

➞ Area of Remained part = L × B

➞ Area of Remained part = 20 × 10

➞ Area of Remained part = 200cm²

________________

Area of the cutted Strip

➞ Area = sheet's area - Remained area

➞ Area = 600 - 200

Area of the Strip = 400cm²

________________

Therefore, Area of the Remaining part = 200cm² and Area of the Strip = 400cm²
