Answer:

Heya mate your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

A number expressed in the form of k × 10ⁿ, where k is a terminating decimal such that 1 ≤ k <10 and n is any Integer , is said to be in scientific notation or standard form  of notation.

In standard exponential notation, the number is always written with only one digit to the left of the decimal.

If the decimal point moves to the left or the number is large, add the number of places the decimal move to the current exponent of ten.

If the decimal point moves to the right or the number is small, subtract the number of places the decimal moves from the current exponent of ten.

Solution:

Given:

No. Of books= 5

Thickness of each book= 20mm

No.of  paper sheets= 5

Thickness of each paper sheets= 0.016mm

Total thickness of the stack= thickness of 5 books + thickness of 5 paper sheets

=5×20  + 5X.016

=100  + 0.080

=100.08 mm

The total thickness of the stack= 1.0008 × 10 ^2 mm
