SHIPS DIPS TO THE LARGER DEPTH AS COMPARED TO SALINE WATER THIS BECAUSE IB THIS CASE THE DENSITY OF SHIP IS NOT CHANGING . BUT THE DENSITY IF WATER IS CHANGING BECAUSE IN FRESH WATER THERE IS NO SALT PRESENT IN IT BUT IN SALINE WATER THERE IS A MUCH LARGER AMOUNT OF SALT IN IT WHICH INCREASES ITS DENSITY . THERE FOR THE SHIP DIPS LARGER IN FRESH WATER COMPARED TO SALINE WATER

IF IT IS HELPFUL PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST

Sea water is denser than fresh water due to the dissolved salts. This increases the buoyant force and you float higher in sea water.

Ships also have lower draft in sea water.

hope it helps you.
