A ship is made from steel can float in sea water but a small pin of steel sinks in sea water why?​

this happens due to the Archimedes principle. the density of ship is less per volume of water but the density of needle is more so, one floats and the other sinks.

when you put a steel pin in water it sink, but a ship made of steel floats because steel is denser than water, so steel pin sink but a ship also made of steel float . It has a lot of hollow spaces filled with air, this increase the average volume of ship .When volume increase density decrease , hence the ship floats.
