Answer:

Here we have given,

Initial speed of the ship = u = 56km/h

= 56×5/18 = 15.55m/s (changing km/h into m/s by multiplying 5/18)

Final speed of the ship =v = 58km/h (58×5 /18)

=16.11m/s (changing km/h into m/s by multiplying

5/18)

Time = t = 1sec

Acceleration = a = ?

As we know that acceleration is rate of change of velocity.

a=v-u/t

a=16.11-15.55/1

a=0.56m/s²

Hence, acceleration, a=0.56m/s²
